Virtual Tea Party

After years (okay, not exactly YEARS) of cold and dreary weather it looks like Spring may be on the horizon around here. And in honor of the occasion I thought I could host a lovely tea party (in the virtual world). And you are invited to join me! Imagine we are sitting in a blooming garden. There is a beautifully laid table with dainty sandwiches and sweets to enjoy. The weather is perfect. And we all look our best. Now, what should we discuss?

please no politics. I'm getting burnt out already! But I would love to discuss the latest books people have read, and projects they are working on. Movies they enjoy. Or the yummy food being served! Thanks for the invite! It's a wonderful party.

what pretty flowers you are going to plant this spring in front of your beau.ti.ful house (and then share pictures with us, on your blog, of course!)

I am with Emma on the no politics. How about your ideas for celebrating Easter.

If we could arrange the marriages of our children, who would we match up?

It's always fun to swap pregnancy and birth stories when someone's expecting...it might turn into a baby shower!

baby stories sound fun, but only when no one is in the third trimester. I'm still scared to do this again. How about our hopes for our children's futures? How to create and foster a perfect society? Maybe that topic is too big, but we had a heated debate with brother-in-law Jason last night about Health Care for all people. Got me thinking.

Hmmmm, how about not discussing kids? Is that too far-fetched? We could just talk about being women and our dreams and what's going on in this world today, and what we can do to be better people and to help others...but leave our sweet darlings out of the conversation, just this one time.

Let's not talk, Jess. Let's eat and take a nap on one of your mom's great quilts in the sunshine!

Let's just relate all the funny stories we can think of!

I'm all about eating tea sandwiches and scones and sipping good Jasmine herbal tea. Let's all wear pretty hats and boas and laugh a lot and tell each other how beautiful we all are. And all of us will say, THANKS, instead of putting ourselves down. Then we'll sit and talk about how fun it is to be eating like queens and be so thin and beautiful. We'll smell the fresh air and then all sit on a porch swing and watch the butterflies go by. Maybe some bunnies will come visit us too...okay..I've been reading the Secret Garden again and that's where my head is!!!

I want to be skinny in the virtual world too! I don't care what we talk about. But I agree not politics!

How about a little gossip. Just a tiny bit to keep things lively. I promise not to spread it!

I say let's talk about our dream vacations!

Lets talk about all the things stated above especially favorite books, places and I'm kinda old so can we talk just a minute about how to keep up on all the health issues and I'll try to look nice but I HAVE to be extremely comfortable in what I'm wearing.
