Simplicity 4927 pattern review
I am always thankful when patterns turn out just like they show on the package. I'm not a good enough seamstress to really make any alterations to patterns, so what the pattern says I try to follow. Luckily this pattern was pretty much true to form. (Although with Simplicity patterns I usually round down two sizes and then adjust the length as needed.) Emily loves her new dress and Summer has requested I make her one using the same pattern. Success!

Super cute! Is that a knit or does it have a zipper? I hate zippers, but they are more doable thanks to some of the you tube tutorials I have found.
It's a cotton from the calico wall at Joann's. The pattern calls for a button and elastic cord loop. I just used a hook & eye. :)
I'm with Emily--I love it! (And the cute bracelets from your previous post.) You are such a talented woman!
Em makes a gorgeous model! The neckless finishes the outfit off perfectly! I'm looking forward to seeing Summer's when it's finished.
I would love to make the dress on your home page it looks like a pillowcase dress with sleeves. Can you please email me where to find this pattern? latimerjuiceplus@bellsouth.net
Thanks a million
May God Bless
