Humidity and Hormones

When I was a little girl my hair was strait-as-a-pin.

Now, thanks to humidity and hormones it's kind of wavy.

At first I thought it was kind of cool, but now I'm realizing that not-strait hair is much more difficult to manage than strait hair. And I still haven't figured out how to do the messy, beachy curls. Any tips, pointers, or suggestions?

It looks good! I hear ya, though, the humidity is sooooo bad on my hair! Total Frizz!

I didn't realize your hair had started going wavey. It looks great! Have you tried the gel-it-scrunch-it-let-it-dry style? You and Abbi will have to report on what works best. She's in the same boat as far as hair goes.

your curls are so effortless and soft - i miss the humidity of the south! i use Aussie brand "scrunch spray" to set my curls with a soft (as in not crunchy) hold - i dry it after stritzing with a blow dryer with my head upside down. that way i avoid frizz.
