First Fruits

Every year we plant a garden. And most years nothing really grows. (Except for tomatoes.) But this year we planted a garden and it grew!!!!

And we are already getting to harvest some of its fruits. We've been using our herbs for a few weeks now, and then last night we went out and picked cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, and yellow squash, and a pepper. (Our carrots are tiny, but they look and taste like carrots!! Amazing.)

Now we're just anxiously waiting for our tomatoes to ripen.

Gardens that grow make me SO happy.

YEAH! That surprises me though. You are in the south like us-ish. We can't garden during the summer, too hot. How come you guys can???

Your posts are always exciting, but this is especially exciting because I LOVE gardening. I have been eating a couple of cherry tomatos per week for awhile, but we haven't planted anything else.

Are you doing gardening by the foot? Your raised beds look awesome!

Nuthin' better than eating food grown in your very own garden! Takes ten times better! I am looking forward to a meal stright from the garden when we come! Congratulations to all you Mr. McGregor's!
