I love you, Grandpa

We got word this morning that my Grandpa passed away. It was totally unexpected (he was hit by a car), so I think everyone was kind of shocked. But, I know that life continues after death and I'm grateful for all of the many wonderful memories I have with him here. He was an awesome grandpa (and awesome man!) and we will miss him.

These are some of the tulips he grew in his garden last spring. He LOVED to work in his garden and found so much joy in sharing what he grew. All who knew him were blessed by the fruits of his life.

Jessi- I am so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I know it is hard especially when it is unexpected. Just remember in this hard time in your life about the plan of salvation and I know that you know you will see him again. Remembering that will help you get through it. You and your family are in my prayers. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for your parents since I live in the same town. I would do anything for your family. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Was this your Grandpa up in PG? I think I went with you there once and played card games. I remember he was really sweet. So sorry for your loss.

Jessi
Thanks for posting this picture. Leah has been having a hard time with all of this and when I showed her your picture it brought her so much comfort. I copied it off for her so she can keep it in her room.

I am sorry to hear about your Grandpa, Jessi. It is times like this that I am so thankful for the Gospel and Heavenly Father's plan - it provides so much comfort. His tulips are beautiful - they remind me of the ones in the gardens at Temple Square.

We too were so shocked and I pray that your grandma will get to be with him soon. Grandma and Grandpa Howe were always so gracious to me and all of us. I was reading on the internet at harktheherald.com about the newspaper article and all the comments . Look it up. Hugs to you all.

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. Just stay close to the family during these struggles. I know it helped me to spend time with my family with our Grandma's passing recently.

Hello Jessi,

I have been sick to my stomach thinking about what happened to your grandfather. I am truly sorry for your loss. There is no replacement for the loss of such a noble and exemplary figure as one's grandparent. Your grandpa looks like he was one of a kind. Take comfort in the long and most importantly, righteous, life that he lived. You are in my prayers.
Love, Arica
