Just plain itchy

A few posts ago I was "itching for a romance", but right now I am just plain itchy. Somehow I ran into some poison ivy while doing yardwork on Saturday and now I'm broken out all over my arms. It's driving me CRAZY!!!!!

Does anyone have any miracle cures?

I have some anti-itch steroid cream from the dermatologist from when I broke out in hives after Connor was born. Other then that I've only ever heard of calamine lotion.

There is this stuff, I can't remember the name of it, but you get it at Walgreens. It's spendy, but it works fast. Just go in and ask the pharmacy department and they will be able to get it for you.

No miracle cure, but a funny story. My dad was eating out at this restaurant during a road trip. It turned out to not be very good food and an hour down the road he was urgently sick. It was somewhere in the mountains, not a town in site. Suddenly he swerved off the road, jumped from the car, and ran off into the wilderness like a crazy person. We assumed to take care of his current upset tummy. By the time he got back, the poison ivy, he accidentally nested in, was so virulent that he was blistered from back to behind his knees, and all places in between - if you get my drift. It was horrible, truly, but very very funny. So I guess it could be worse. The ankle might not be so bad!
