The morning after

Last night was our quarterly enrichment meeting and it was a SUCCESS!!! (Can you feel my big sigh of relief?)

The theme was "Celebrating YOU" and we gave the ladies the opportunity to display their interests and talents either by bringing an actual display, by performing in our program, or by bringing a dish for dinner. And let me tell you, the ladies came through!!! At first the sign-ups were looking a little sparse and I was worried that we wouldn't have many people participate, but in the end we had a great turn-out and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. And I was so impressed with the different interests and talents. The display tables were filled with things that varied from a wakeboard to photography to family history to cross-stitch to painting to nutrition. (I brought my quilt.) Our program included musical performances, tap dance, poetry reading, and belly dancing. It was so fun! And don't even get me started on the food. Oh, the food!!! We had so much yummy, yummy food. (We ended up having to bring out second plates for everyone so they could really dig in to it all!) Overall, I am thankful for everyone that worked so hard to bring it all together. It made me appreciate the amazing women we have in our church. I feel so grateful to be a part of them and to have to opportunity to work beside them and to learn from them.

Now, we are on to planning our next enrichment night. It's coming up in May and we are supposed to do something on preparedness. Any ideas?

I totally wanted to go and crash your enrichment night, but that's our YW night and that's where I need to be since I'm in YW, right?!
So glad it was a success. The night before I tried to get Nat to sing to me, but she didn't...I'm sure she did awesome.

That is awesome...what a fun night! I think we should start taking belly dancing lessons.
