I'm not an expert driver, but there are a few things I know.... Like it is usually a good idea to open the garage BEFORE you try and back out. If it weren't so funny we might have to cry.

That's pretty funny. Personally I've never done that (knock on wood). I hope it's easy to fix!
I just replaced 2 garage doors just like that but, not because someone ran into them! They were old and rotten. However, if you plan to replace your doors...Home Depot had a great deal on carriage doors that were cheaper than the cheap doors. They have windows and black hardware that would look great on your house! Why not laugh...it is good to laugh instead of be angry with yourself!
You didn't!
Oh No. I think we need to go the laughing route! I also think you have too many things to think about these days. Putting the garage door up just didn't make it to the top of the list!
That is so funny! I can feel I can laugh at it only because I did the exact same thing about two years ago. (Only I broke the glass on our door as well) Before you go out and buy a whole new door, check with a garage door repair company. We were able to just replace a panel or two which saved us a ton of money.
It was Dave, wasn't it.
It is pretty funny! But I am not the one who has to pay for it! So sorry about that!
Oh no! I'm sorry, but it is pretty funny.
I hit Dale's car about a month ago. It is at those moments you wish you could go back in time 2-3 minutes to stop yourself.
Just an observation, it seems like something big is coming your way. I find when crazy, stupid, stressful things begin happening all around me to keep my eyes open because something amazing is always just around the corner. It's as if the adversary is trying to keep it from happening.
my excuse for moments like this... i'm blonde. as we speak, my car is in the shop because i hit the corner of our house with the passenger side of the car. the house received no major injuries but my car has been in the shop for over a week.
I am so sorry for you! Now you know how bad I felt when I backed into your car a few years ago.
Assuming this was Dave (and I'm pretty sure it was): Dave IS an expert driver, but he's also incredibly busy and has a trillion things on his mind! So sorry this happened!! It'll definitely be a great story to tell, though. (It already has been!)
woops
Too funny...and just laugh!
Oh, you poor thing! I actually ALMOST did the same thing but the back up sensor thing started blaring and then I realized the door was down...so you aren't the only one with "mommy brain." You have a great attitude!
Oh boy. I've done something similar to that and we still havn't fixed the garage door yet. It doesn't like to open now but when it's down, you cant really tell.
Just laugh and keep telling your husband that.
What did the kids do? Did you cuss? (that would be the time!!:)
ha ha! Sorry!!! that stinks.
Jessi, you really shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Accidents happen.
