I've decided I like to putter. When you putter you accomplish things that are necessary, but at a slow and easy pace, enjoying them in the process. In the morning I like to get up and slowly move through the house, tidying the rooms and gearing up for the day. Then I move outside and water my plants, check on my garden, and maybe pull a few weeds. I hate feeling stressed, so giving myself time to slowly enjoy the morning is what I need.
One of the things I do when I'm out in the garden is check my tomato plants for caterpillars (or maybe they're grubs?). A few days ago we were out picking tomatoes and we found several of these caterpillars eating my beautiful tomatoes. We plucked them all off and promptly disposed of them. Now, every day I go out and have to remove a few more. Does anyone know what these are and how to get rid of them?? I'd rather spend my time puttering doing something more pleasant than picking off grubs!

Holy Cow, I don't blame you. That thing is big!! Yuck... Hmm, good luck on getting rid of them!!
Eww! I hate bugs! I think there's certain pesticides that you can get at a garden store. It's safe on plants and it just works like a repellant I think. Kortney has tomato plants I'll ask her what she uses if anything.
My neighbor came over to tell me that I have beetles slowly eating my rose bushes (I didn't even notice). Anyway, she told me the only way to get rid of them is to either gently shake the bush holding a bowl of soapy water (for the bugs to fall into) or crush them with your fingers (yuck! and my kids would cry if they saw me!) I have no idea if it's the same with caterpillars though!
I know how to help your bug problem! Take some Dawn dish soap in a spray bottle with just a little water so it's bubbly still and spray your plants with it. Good luck!
