A nearly perfect day...

David sensed I needed a break, so yesterday he gave me time to be BY MYSELF. Ahhhhhh, it felt good. First I went jogging, then to JoAnn's, and then to the library. Then I met up with him and the girls at McKenna's softball practice. It was a gloriously beautiful day and I soaked it in while watching the practice. After practice we rushed home to get ready for a get-together with people from David's basketball team. It was here that my perfect day turned into a "nearly" perfect day. David was responsible for finding speakers for sacrament meeting and forgot. Being the supporting wife that I am I agreed to speak. I scrambled and tried to throw together a talk (which I luckily didn't have to give because, unknown to David, our high counselor had switched Sundays and was scheduled to speak today. Phew!) We went to the get-together had a really fun time there chatting and eating. We stayed there for a while and then dropped our kids at a babysitter and met some other friends at the movie "Amazing Grace." It was EXCELLENT!!!!!! Go see it. After the movie we went to Chiles where we talked and laughed and simply enjoyed the evening. At about 11:30pm we picked our kids up, tucked them in bed, and then called it quits ourselves. The entire day was just plain FUN and I loved almost every minute of it!

That is awesome! You are so deserving of a perfect day!

it was probably only "nearly" perfect by design because your brilliant husband realized that he didn't want to set the standard too high. this way, there will always be room for improvement!

You can keep that day in your memory and bring it out for when those other "not so perfect days" show up!
