Lazy

President Hinckley said, "Most of us are inherently lazy. We would rather play than work. We would rather loaf than work." YEP. I know that's true for me, and I often have to remind myself of the rest of what he said: "A little play and a little loafing are good. But it is work that spells the difference in the life of a man or woman. It is stretching our minds and utilizing the skills of our hands that lift us from mediocrity. It is work that provides the food we eat, the clothing we wear, the homes in which we live. We cannot deny the need for work with skilled hands and educated minds if we are to grow and prosper individually and if our nation is to stand tall before the world." And the quote I have made my mantra this year: "There is no substitute under the heavens for productive labor. It is the process by which dreams become realities. It is the process by which idle visions become dynamic achievements." So now I am going to get to work!

Thanks, Jess! I'll go get to work, too! And I'll try not to have a bad attitude about it... :)

I actually love to work. In fact, I find that a certain amount of work is necessary for me to enjoy my being lazy. No, I will correct that and say in order for me to enjoy my rejuvenating activities, I need to have accomplished a certain amount of work. And I also found that it isn't necessary to push 90 miles-per-hour every second in order to say you have worked. I am very fortunate to have my work load equal my time and so I don't have to push fast-fast like I did when there were children to take care of. So all you mothers of young children take heart and know that there WILL come a time when you won't be pushed to the max all the time!
