Yesterday, thanks to an invitation from Audra & Mike, we took a drive up to Helen, GA and hiked to Anna Ruby Falls. It was a cloudy, "blah" day and when David was late meeting us I hesitated taking the trip, but I am SO GLAD we did. Just being out in nature totally invigorated me. We've hiked to the falls before in the spring, and even though it wasn't as pretty this time, it was neat to see the surroundings during a different season. I noticed and appreciated different things on this hike compared to what I saw last time. David and I aren't great campers, mostly because we're not equipped, but we decided last night that we need to go camping more often. There are few places I feel the Lord's magesty more than being out in nature, plus it's great FUN!
Summer loved "crunching" the leaves as we walked.
Anna Ruby Falls is a rare double waterfall. David and the girls were very impressed!
We also had great bonding time between the cousins. They are becoming fast friends.
Thanks for the invite, Audra & Mike. Let's plan another outing soon!!!

How fun and beautiful! Makes me want to get out there and enjoy the mountains here! Although it is snowing like a mad man today!
Great pictures!! :)
Okay, you just helped me with the next family outing...how fun!
I just feel bad we didn't offer to take a family picture of y'all. Sorry about that! It was a great outing. Thanks for coming with us!
I'm so glad you guys got to do this hike! Looks like a ton of fun! Wish I could have been there with you!
I have recently noticed how being out in nature and enjoying its beauty can have a real physical impact. It relieves stress, it refreshes your emotions, it uplifts your outlook on life. I love trees, bushes, flowers, moss, water, rocks, sky, clouds. What a beautiful creations this world is! Thanks be to the Creator!
I am so jealous. It looks like spring in Georgia. We just got snow dumped on us and it looks like it is coming all week long too. We just can't take the baby out to far in 25 degree high days.
P.S. We had a farewell for a boy going to Macon Georgia. Is that is your area?
