I have to admit that I love my girls names, both because they are beautiful and because they have history and meaning behind them.
McKenna is from the movie "Somewhere in Time", one of David's romantic favorites. Rae is the middle name of one of my best friends from high school.
Lydia is the name of my 4th great grandma. She was an early convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and immigrated to Utah shortly after Brigham Young. Lydia is also the name of David's great-grandma. Michelle is my Mom's name.
We just liked the name Emily. It's classic and beautiful. Anne is after Anne of Green Gables, one of my all-time favorites.
Summer is my middle name, and Meili means beautiful in Mandarin Chinese. (David served his mission to Taiwan and speaks Mandarin).
I'm tagging Chaunette, and my Mom (who can reply via my comments secion).

Notice Jessi, it is 10PM and where am I supposed to be???? at your SURPRISE PARTY. I am soooooo bummed. I want you to know how hard we tried to get there. I even called my babysitters' friends that I didn't know. We just couldn't find anyone tonight. I am so sorry we missed the fun. But hey, you tagged me, and I can always spend my night blogging, instead of celebrating my dear friend's 30th birthday.
Well done on naming your girls! I love your girls' names also. Also, how was the surprise party?! Do tell all!
Where did we come up with the names for our children? I heard the name 'Jessica' and thought it was beautiful and that not very many people had that name. And I thought 'Summer' had such pretty connotations and was also a name that not very many had. (It turned out that 'Jessica' was one of the most popular names - I just didn't know it. Audra came from Audra on the TV show 'The Big Valley', and 'Tansey' came from the cutest little girl in our ward at the time. At first we were going to name our son 'Lucas Caleb', but for some reason we just decided 'Adam Joshua' was much better. I had heard the name 'Abbi' and loved it, and I also loved the name Abigail. Lindsay was chosen because we just liked it. And there you have it!
I love Anne of Green Gables as well! I always think of that when I see an Anne spelled without the "e". Horrid!
On another note, Happy Birthday. I'm also turning 30 this year and am already freaking out. Time to evaluate life and decisions, etc. I can relate.
Oh, and I'm borrowing your meme. Hope that's okay. :)
