This may look like a simple, ordinary bag, but to me this is a masterpiece! Emily's school requires them to have bookbags, not backpacks, and since I'd already spent $14 on her backpack I wasn't interested in spending any more money. So...I made one myself!! I used the pattern from the bag for the humanitarian aid school kits, and with left-over fabric I SEWED!!! It was my first independent sewing project and I think it was a success! And the greatest thing is Emily likes it.

It is a masterpiece! I think it is the most wonderful book bag I have ever seen! I love how you did Emily's name and the stars! What an accomplishment! You are an excellent seamstress!
How fun, Jessi! It turned out wonderful! I think it is a good idea to have a book bag instead of a back pack. Who's sewing machine did you use? Some day, you must invest in a sewing machine. I think you'd use it a lot.
DARLING! I should have warned you about the backpacks. Hey, if you need a sewing machine, mine is collecting dust and I'd love to have you use it. It can even camp out at your house for a LONG time...sadly, it won't be missed.
