Grandma's Recipe Box

When Elaine came to visit, she brought with her my Grandma Pyne's recipe box. The recipes are written in my Grandma's handwriting and are an absolute treasure. I spent some time looking through them this morning and it brought tears to my eyes thinking about how I was holding a tangible reminder of my Grandma and the countless hours she spent in the kitchen cooking for her family. My Grandma is one of my heros and was one of my very best friends. I miss her so much. There are so many things I wish I could talk to her about and to learn from her. I want to be like her in so many ways. So, having this keepsake means more than I can describe. I am excited to go through it with my sisters and to start trying her recipes. Thank you so much for sharing this treasure with us, Elaine!!

Oh man, that is a TREASURE! I would LOVE to have my grandma's recipes in her own writing. That is really neat that you got that!

I am so glad the recipes have gone to someone who values and appreciates them! They are a bit of Pyne history. You should add to them the wonderful recipes books you have compiled for our family. They all are treasures!

I knew they belonged with you.
I forgot to copy the Pop Over recipe somewhere near the first of the box. E-mail it to me when you get a chance.

I'm sooooo jealous! You have no idea! :( is there a way you could copy them for me? I would love, love to have this as well! I didn't get anything from them and this is something I would love as well-
