The stash

See that red pot? I thought it was the perfect hiding place. It used to contain my little candy stash. But my kids discovered it, so now it's empty.

Where do you keep your candy stash?

Mine is in my fluted bundt pan. It just sort of happened that way and worked.

Sshush! You have a candy stash! I never thought of that. Dang I've been missing out all these years.
I can't believe it!

Hey, I have that same red bowl on the bottom left. It is our fruit bowl. Let's see...my stash...inside Ty's Easter basket (he thinks it's empty) and upstairs in the linen closet! I'm glad he can't read yet, or I wouldn't have given out my secret!

Top drawer of my dresser (upstairs) and in a non-descript cup on top of the fridge downstairs. (amongst other clutter).

So far, so good...

From my experience, kid's sweets-radar is effective in finding candy anywhere and everywhere its hidden. Now I need someone to hide it from me.

The stash has to be moved throughout the house and moved often b/c you know who has an amazing ability to sniff it out. There are no safe spots!

Love those colorful contents in that cupboard!

I just have a candy drawer for the grandkids. It's pretty accessible. Down low just right for them. It's funny though because we bought a bunch of girl scout cookies the other day and I was up skiing and Shana text'd me and said Daxton had found them in my bedroom and had sat on my bed and ate half a package of thin mints! I just had to smile because I know how much he loves chocolate.

I buy cute pots and pitchers just for this very purpose. My Nauvoo one is my favorite, it's bigger. The kids all know and they are often empty but my sacred stuff is in special places in my pantry, cupboards and Freezer downstairs. Come stay and have a chocolate hunt.
