I'm not a competitive runner, but I love participating in races. Today David and I ran in a race down at Turner Field and it was so much fun! The course was by far the most difficult I have ever run, but the feeling of completing the race and celebrating with everyone at the event is such a high. I was also really proud of myself because I beat my previous 5K time by almost 3 minutes and came in under my goal time (32 minutes). Audra and Mike and their boys surprised us at the finish line which was the icing on the cake. It was so nice of them to drive all the way down to see us! Of course Audra brought her camera and took pictures. You can see them here.
My next fitness goal is to run 100 miles and do 10,000 crunches by Christmas Day. I'll have to run about 16 miles and do 2000 crunches a week to meet my goal, but I think I'm up for it. After a day like today I feel like I can take on the world!
