Tooth trauma

On Saturday Lydia was spinning, dancing, skipping, and walking backwards when she hit her face on the wall and almost knocked her front tooth out. This wouldn't have been a huge deal a few months ago before she lost her baby teeth, but she now has permanent teeth and they are not supposed to come out. She bled a lot and screamed even more. (Pain+Blood=one traumatized little girl). We immediately took her to see one of our friends who is a dentist. He checked her out and said that it's amazing how resilient kids are and that it would most likely heal itself. In fact, the difference between the way her tooth looked right after it happened and when he looked at it 10 minutes later was incredible. I think we'll still try and get her in to an oral surgeon for some x-rays just to make sure there isn't any further damage, but for now she is doing pretty well. Hopefully she continues to heal quickly.

That would be awful to lose her permanent tooth this young. :(
I hope it works out.

We hope Lydia's tooth is going to return to its place and be just fine! We are sorry to hear she had that injury! Hopefully it will be all better by the time we come to visit!

That's aweful! Kortney knocked my tooth out when we were boxing once in the basement. Hahaha...luckily it was my baby tooth! I hope everything is ok!
