Not ready!!!

I am not ready to let the holidays go and to resume life as usual. I love driving home and seeing my house all lit up, I love all my Christmas decorations, I love the fun parties and family get-togethers, and I love focusing on something other than laundry, groceries, and hum-drum routine. And even though my love for my Savior never ends, there is something so tangible in the sights and sounds of Christmas that make Him feel so close during this time of year. But, life goes on, and I am sure that before I know it Christmas will be here again. (And in the meantime we get to enjoy another spring, summer and fall. If only I can make it though winter!!).

I'm right there with you! I'm torn between not wanting to put our Christmas decorations away and wanting them to be put away so I can go forward in the new year. I will try to keep the Spirit of Christmas in my heart all the time, even if the decorations have to go.

Is that you house all lit up? It is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!! I know what you mean, but I have to tell you, every time I put away my decorations, it's like starting something new...just in time for the new year. Maybe it's just me trying to make myself feel better!

Jessi, your home is magnificant! I am just in love with it. Especially your porch and your yard! It was hard for me to take all of the decorations down as well. It is like you don't want to let go of the Christmas feeling! But after you put it away if feels good and clean and it helps you get ready for the New Year. Good luck on it!! :)
