In the past, winter has kind of depressed me because I feel like all the fun is over until spring. So, I've decided to have a new attitude this year and to focus on all the wonderful things that take place each month. Here is what I came up with.
JANUARY: a fresh start, indoor projects (sewing, scrapbooking, crocheting)
FEBRUARY: Valentines Day, a short month
MARCH: St. Patrick's Day (every year leprichons come to our house and play tricks), daffodils!
APRIL: spring break, Easter, my anniversary
MAY: strawberries, school's out
JUNE: put the boat in the water!!!!
JULY: swimming, reading, waterskiing
AUGUST: back to school, still get to swim & ski
SEPTEMBER: glorious weather, transition to fall
OCTOBER: trip to the pumpkin patch, fall decorations, Halloween
NOVEMBER: my birthday, Thanksgiving
DECEMBER: Christmas!!!!!
When I look at it this way there is something to look forward to each month, and winter feels very short. Here is to a wonderful 2007!

How fun and optimistic! I need to list about twenty happy things to get me through January and February. :)
That is such a fun list! You'll have to post about the "tricks" the leprechauns play at your house... that sounds like a fun tradition!
Love it. There's always something to be excited about, huh...even if you have to make something up to be excited about. :) I guess that's what life's about, huh--it's not just going to be handed to you on a sliver platter, you gotta make it good! :)
