AMAZING!!! Priscilla Dunstan, a mother from Australia (who happens to have a photographic memory for sound) has discovered that babies have a common language. She was on Oprah today and I think her findings will change the world! She said that all babies use the same five "words" to communicate.
- Neh="I'm hungry"
- Owh="I'm sleepy"
- Heh="I'm experiencing discomfort"
- Eair="I have lower gas"
- Eh="I need to burp"
They showed clips of babies making each of these sounds and I totally recognized them from when my kids were newborns. She has a new book coming out on November 27, and from what I saw on Oprah I would recommend it to all women who have or are thinking about having a new baby. I'm just blown away. It almost makes me want to have another baby just so I can try out her method!

dang! my dvr didn't tape oprah today, and my baby is 3 months old. i'm sure that would have been helpful. i'll have to check out her website.
I was totally going to blog about this when I saw this on Oprah... it was very interesting. I think most of my blog readers read your blog so I won't, but I'm glad you did! Anyway, like they said it or may not work.. but it is a nice concept. I am expecting and think I will buy the book.
