Most of my life I've tended to follow the proverbial "path of least resistance." But as a parent that path is generally not a productive option. It's a good thing I know that or my kids would have ice cream and candy for dinner every night, they'd stay up as late as they wanted, their rooms would be a mess, and they would never bathe. They would roam free around the neighborhood, spend the night with their friends on school nights, and never have their hair done. They would always be late for school, have bad breath and cavities, and never learn to function in society. It's a good thing that I know the path of least resistance is not what's best for them because some days it sure would be an easier path to follow!

Tell me about it! One of the biggest challenges I have right now is NOT giving Tanner food all day long. He asks for it constantly and he mostly asks for popsicles or candy or popcorn or juice or anything else that is unhealthy. Ugh! I need a lock to our kitchen to keep Tanner OUT!
It sometimes seems easier to just give in to that path of least resistance, but then I'm dealing with MONSTERS later! Thanks for the fun post.
