It's okay, my friend

Audra recently told me about an article she read in "Creating Keepsakes" magazine where the author commented about how scrapbookers seem to take themselves and their hobby a little too seriously. At the end of the article the author said, "It's okay, my friends. It's okay." I may not be an ultra-serious scrapbooker, but I do tend to take a rather solemn view about other aspects of my life and appreciate her sentiments. "It's okay, my friend" is a message I often need to hear; a message that is abundantly shared in the scriptures. The Lord tells us, "The way is prepared;" "Come unto me;" "My burden is light." It's like the Lord is repeatedly telling us, "It's okay, my friend- or at least it can be." Because of Christ and the atonement everything can be "okay."

I will try to recall those words at my too serious moments! They will come in very handy, I know!
