Smurfy Question

The other day my kids were watching the Smurfs and David asked me a deep and thought-provoking question: Which Smurf would you marry?

Hmmmmmm, probably Papa Smurf. Because he is kind and wise and responsible.

Then I asked David the same question.

Duh.

Which Smurf would you want to marry?

McKenna is talented

Every time McKenna has a piece of gum I find a little challis made out of the gum wrapper somewhere around the house. They are very cute. And the only way she gets away with not throwing away her trash.

My buddies

I am one of the luckiest girls in the world because I get to hang out with these two little girls every day. While my older girls are in school, Summer and Chloe keep me company and keep me on my toes. (Definitely keep me on my toes.)

Last night...

Me: Girls, come in for dinner!

Emily: I want a "girl cheese sandwich".

Me: Oh, sorry. I only made boy cheese sandwiches tonight.

Emily (with a pouty face): I want a girl cheese sandwich.

Trade offs

Last night I had a very important choice to make. I had time to either make dinner OR take the kids to the pool...........

We had cereal for dinner.

What a difference!

Who knew that getting matching hangers for McKenna and Lydia's closet would make such a difference in my life?!! I used to have a bunch of mis-matched hangers, and even though I hung their clothes by color, their closet always seemed to be a jumbled mess. Now, everything hangs level and is so pretty. It makes me want to do laundry just so I can hang up their clothes.

Back to School

Am I really old enough to have a 5th, 3rd, and 1st grader?! I guess so, because here they are.
