Some days sitting in the carpool line at Emily's school I feel like I am watching a fashion show. The kids line up in their perfectly coordinated outfits and I wonder HOW do their parents do it? Like I've said before, my kids have opinions regarding what they wear every day, and if I were to force my fashion preferences on them it could ultimately lead to abuse. Don't get me wrong. My girls are cute. They are really cute. But aside from their occasionally quirky style choices, I doubt anyone pays much attention to their clothes (except for Emily and her parade of dresses). Lately I've wanted to make them some cute holiday outfits for Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter. I have in my mind a glorious vision of the darling spectacle they would be all lined up in their custom creations. But as I contemplate the actual implementation of my plans I get a little stressed out. Getting ONE girl all gussied-up is one thing. Getting FOUR girls gussied-up is an entirely different story. Combine that with the very real potential that they may completely refuse to wear the outfits I make and I think I may forego the darling holiday outfits this year. We'll focus on more important things.... like making sure they wear matching shoes to church (which Emily did NOT have last Sunday). :)

Yes, I wouldn't even go there (matching holiday outfits for the whole family.) Given their distinct and strong personal preferences, I REALLY wouldn't go there! The bow idea is good though. Let me know if it works!
Yes, your girls are cute! And I also think it's wonderful of you to let them choose their fashion. Keepin' it simple is the way to go!
Hi Jessi, It's Dale. Reading this made me laugh. I remember when you were little you'd get very ticked off at your Mom because she always fixed your hair. She wanted you to look nice. You just wanted to be done with it. Do you remember this? It's still hard for me to believe you now have 4 kids of your own! That's great! You're tied with us! What's with that?
