My husband isn't perfect, but he is is pretty darn close! Yesterday morning I was standing in the kitchen in my frumpy pajamas, my hair pulled back in a pony tail, and no makeup. David came up and took me in his arms and said, "You're not a little girl anymore." "Yeah," was my response. He said, "You're a mother of four, and you are more beautiful now than the day I married you." Now we both know that at that moment I was looking pretty ugly, but he made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. When I look in the mirror I oftentimes don't like what I see. I've gained 20 pounds since we got married and my skin is starting to show signs of aging (although I still do get blemishes!). But when I see the way David looks at me I can't help but believe that I am beautiful. He insists I still turn his head when I walk in the room, and quite often whispers "this is the best you've ever looked" in my ear. Whether it's true or not is irrelevent. He makes me believe it's true, and I am forever grateful for him and the way he makes me feel.
