It's not working

Yesterday McKenna said something I thought was very profound. She stayed home from school because she wasn't feeling well. In the morning she was supposed to be resting on my bed, and when I came in to check on her she wasn't in bed.... she was playing a computer game. (Have I mentioned she is a bit of a computer addict?) When I asked her why she wasn't resting she said: "I thought this would make me happy, but it's not working." How many times do people persist in doing things that they think will make them happy, but don't really work? Eating to excess, sexual promiscuity, drug abuse, alcoholism would all decrease if people realized that these behaviors weren't "working" to make them happy.

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! But I can assure you I did not look good camping, I had not one ounce of makeup on! I am sure you look a lot better when you are camping and always! :) Hope you all are feeling ok in your household!!
